Email Contest Rules & Regulations

Eligibility

The contest is open to legal residents of Canada over the age of majority in the province or territory in which he/she resides. Only one email entry and two additional Instagram entries per contestant. Employees of Urban Barn Ltd. (“Urban Barn”) (and its parent companies) and their spouses, parents, siblings and children and persons domiciled with an employee of Urban Barn (and its parent companies) are ineligible to enter.

Contest Description:

Contest begins Monday, April 19th (9:00am – PDT) and will run until Monday, May 3rd (20:59pm – PDT). Contestants are invited to fill out the contest entry form with the mandatory information required to enter, including name and email address. For additional contest entries to increase chances of winning, contestants are invited to follow Urban Barn (@urbanbarn) and Endy (@Endy) on Instagram and must submit their Instagram handle in the contest entry form for additional entry verification. The winner will be selected Tuesday, May 4th (12:00pm – PDT). The chosen winner will receive an Urban Barn bed of their choosing (valued up to $2,000), a $500 Urban Barn gift card and an Endy mattress of their choosing (valued up to $950) for total prize valued up to $3,450.

How To Enter

No Purchase Necessary. To participate in the Contest, you must have a valid email address and Instagram account. To enter, fill out the contest entry form with the mandatory information required. For additional entries, follow Urban Barn (@urbanbarn) and Endy (@Endy) on Instagram and include your Instagram handle in the contest entry form for additional entry verification. Only a maximum of three (one email entry and two Instagram entries) per contestant. The winner will be asked to fill out and sign a Declaration & Release Form and return it to Urban Barn, to a specified address, within ten (10) days following receipt of the document.

Prizes

a. Contest Prizing: One (1) MOTHER’S DAY CONTEST GRAND PRIZE: Urban Barn bed of their choosing (valued up to $2,000), a $500 Urban Barn gift card and an Endy mattress of their choosing (valued up to $950). Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $3,450 CAD. Odds of winning depend on the total number and caliber of eligible entries received during the contest period.
For All Prizes: Prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash equivalent will be provided, and all prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made unless Urban Barn, in its sole discretion, determines otherwise. Urban Barn reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value should it become unavailable for any reason. Winners are responsible for all taxes, fees and costs associated with prize receipt and/or use.
All prize details are at Urban Barn’s sole discretion. TOTAL ARV OF ALL PRIZES: $3,450 CAD. The prizes may not be sold, transferred and are not convertible to cash. Urban Barn reserves the right to exclude any entry without notice and to reasonably alter or cancel the contest in the event of a technical failure, fraud or other circumstance beyond its reasonable control. The decision of Urban Barn is final. No purchase is necessary to enter. Selected entrants must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited skill testing question administered by Urban Barn.

Winner Verification

Urban Barn will select at random one winner on Tuesday, May 4th. The successful winner will be required to contact Urban Barn via the email provided within 3 business days of being contacted by from Urban Barn. In the event the potential winners do not contact Urban Barn to confirm their address within 3 business days, they will be disqualified, and an alternate potential winner will be determined by Urban Barn. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. The contest winners must agree to and sign a release as a condition to and prior to receiving the prize.

Conduct and Limitation of Liability

This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. Urban Barn assumes no responsibility or liability for: (i) entries lost, stolen, late, delayed, damaged, mutilated, garbled, illegible, incomplete or misdirected (any illegible entries shall be declared null and void); (ii) any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or servers, computer software problems, traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; and (iii) damage to entrant’s or any person’s computer or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer “hackers”, arising as a result of participating in this contest. In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an entry, the entry will be declared made by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the individual to whom an email address is assigned by the organization that is responsible for the domain.

Any attempt to tamper with the entry process, interfere with these official contest rules and regulations, deliberately damage any website or undermine the administration, security or legitimate operation of the contest, is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Urban Barn reserves the right to seek damages and/or other relief from all persons responsible for such acts to the fullest extent permitted by law, which may include banning or disqualifying entrants from this and future Urban Barn contests. Urban Barn reserves the right to disqualify any entries for communication or behavior made in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

Quebec Residents

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purposes of helping the parties reach a settlement. The masculine gender is used in no discriminatory fashion, simply to facilitate composition.

Protection of Personal Information

Any personal information collected by Urban Barn about Entrants is solely for the purpose of administering this Contest. No further communication will be received by Entrants unless Entrants provide Urban Barn with permission to do.
