Which Urban Barn furniture is covered?
Fabric and leather living room products for $599 or more (before tax). This includes markdown products ($599 minimum applies) and promotional purchases (pre-promotional selling price must be $599 or more). Staff and designer purchases are also covered when pre-discounted selling price is $599 or more.
Which Urban Barn furniture is NOT covered?
Beds, dining chairs, dining or bedroom benches and counter stools.
Markdown product with a selling price less than $599
Furniture purchased for commercial use.
How long is my furniture covered?
Furniture is covered for 5 years (60 months) from the date the order is shipped. When multiple items on a single order ship at different times, the coverage period for all items will begin from the date that the last item is shipped.
What type of damage does the plan cover?
The Diamond Kote Extended Protection Plan covers accidents to fabric or leather upholstery.
Covered accidents include:
- Food and beverage spills and stains
- Stains from human or pet bodily fluids
- Oil-based stains
- Facial cosmetics
- Accidental punctures, rips and tears
What type of damage is NOT covered?
- Colour transfer from clothing or newspaper
- Orange drinks
- Felt markers
- Bleach, paint
- Chewing gum
- Non-approved cleaning products
- Damage caused by pets (other than stains)
- X coded fabrics (vacuum only fabrics)
- Floor models or commercial use furniture
- Structural or foam issues
Do I need to use Diamond Kote Leather Conditioner?
Yes. Under coverage terms and conditions, Diamond Kote Leather Conditioner must be applied over the entire surface of leather furniture at least once a year. This conditioner really works and will help keep your furniture looking its best!
How do I make a claim?
You can file a claim by visiting www.fileaclaim.ca, calling Diamond Kote toll free at 1-800-663-1708 or emailing DKFP@serviceplan.ca
What should I do if my furniture gets stained?
DO NOT try to clean the stain – only blot away excess fluid.
Call Diamond Kote at 1-800-663-1708 for advice on how to properly treat the stain.
If you aren’t able to remove the stain, the call centre representative will provide you with a claim number and arrange cleaning/repair.
How do I find my Diamond Kote Extended Protection Plan Warranty Number?
Your warranty number is the same as the sales order/invoice number on your receipt.
Do I need to keep my receipt?
Yes. You may be asked to provide proof of purchase when you make a claim.
How many claims can I submit?
Your Protection Plan covers repairs up to the original purchase value of each piece. Once repairs or stain removal services exceed the original purchase price, the coverage is void for that piece of furniture.
Is the Protection Plan transferable?
No. If a covered piece of furniture is sold, the protection plan is void.
