We join all of Canada in mourning the lives of Indigenous children lost at former residential schools. In honour of Indigenous communities across the country, Urban Barn has donated $5,000 to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
Urban Barn celebrated Pride 2022 with a colourful collaboration T-Shirt designed by LGBTQ2S+ artist Elly Ayling. For every T-Shirt purchased, we donated to Covenant House Vancouver, for a total donation of $2,000 to help support homeless LGBTQ2S+ youth.
In an unprecedented time of need, we wanted to find a way to help improve the lives of frontline workers. With $32,000 of new Urban Barn furniture, we helped make over lounges for Lions Gate’s Respiratory Therapists and Operating Room staff.
Introduced in 2012, Blanket the Country gives warmth to people and animals experiencing homelessness. Together with our customers, we’ve donated over 73,707 fleece blankets and $88,980 to charities across Canada.
In the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Urban Barn extended a 15% discount to first responders and customers working in hospitals, medical clinics and care homes.
