Tell us a little bit about yourself and your space.
My name is Erin! I’m a wife to a carpenter and contractor, a mama of two, and the founder of a clean skincare brand, Walden Beauty (@walden_beauty). My talented husband built our home just over four years ago on a beautiful, rugged acreage. Both our patio and interior are designed to feel effortless and seamlessly connected to nature. Our covered patio lets us enjoy slow morning coffees, some summer shade after a dip in our plunge pool, and evening sunsets—rain or shine.
How would you describe your decorating style?
Outdoors, it’s all about function and comfy-casual living, with natural and non-fussy furniture that still feels elevated. Indoors, I love bringing the serenity and beauty of nature in. We chose woodsy green paint, creamy whites, natural stone, rustic hickory floors, and oak cabinetry to help create that feeling. Overall, I love a blend of modern mountain and relaxed lake house style.
Tell us about your favourite Urban Barn piece and why you love it!
We love our Tonga Outdoor Sofas - they are incredibly comfortable and the cushions are so easy to wipe down. They also pair perfectly with our Dario outdoor dining table and chairs, which we purchased two summers ago. Indoors, we’re enjoying our Callie counter stools and dining chairs in cognac, along with our Manhattan sofas in our living room. We keep it cozy with Warwick plaid pillows and a throw always in reach on our Merriam blanket ladder - clearly we’re big Urban Barn fans!
