- Kiln dried pine with engineered wood frame
- Kiln drying helps prevent wood from cracking or warping
- Engineered wood is used to add additional strength to the tabletop and ensures the product’s structural integrity over time
- By nature, wood will expand and contract with changes in weather, temperature and humidity
- Expect natural variations in wood grain and colouring
- This collection is minimally finished for intentional rustic character, resulting in uneven areas of the tabletop surface
- When the table’s extension is in use, expect a slight variance in height between the surface of the tabletop and the leaf extension
- Features a hand applied off-white multi-step finish that will brighten any room
- As a final step before the finish is sealed, a dark stain is applied over top the white finish and then rubbed off to highlight the details of the wood and to create an aged look
- Hand applied distressing techniques include rubbed edges and areas where the finish has been intentionally worn, revealing the natural wood beneath
- Sealed with a low sheen protective lacquer for moisture resistance
- Hand finishing gives each piece unique character, texture and appearance
- Grooves and saw marks on the wood’s surface create the look of salvaged lumber
- Carved scroll details on the table base give this table an authentically artisan look, and an oversized metal stretcher adds structural support
- Extendable table design with double self-storing butterfly leaf extensions allows you to extend table to seat up to 10 people
- The butterfly leaves store inside the tabletop so finding a place to store the leaves is not necessary
