A softer palette
With every new season, we make it our mission to introduce Canadians to unique colour stories and home décor looks that will inspire. The popular story “Champagne Life” has transitioned into the holiday story “Daydream” now in stores. The fall colour story was well received and we’ve made sure to step it up a notch this holiday season with even more layers and sparkle. Inspired by anything from fashion to pop culture to the seasonal colours of nature, we hope that Canadians will be able to relate to the stories we’re trying to tell through our products. This holiday story was inspired by the look and feel of a picturesque snowy winter wedding. Soft hues of pink, blue and grey, snowy branches and a little bit of sparkle are what this story is all about.
Make a statement
As Canadians, we spend a lot of time indoors during the cooler months of the year (not always by choice!) Often, we have the strongest desire to change the look and feel of our spaces during these colder months and there are many ways to do this. If adding a new set of toss pillows and a throw to the sofa just doesn’t cut it, adding a statement piece of furniture might. The trend this season involves stepping things up a notch and adding a wow factor to your space. For the bolder, this might be a coloured sofa but if you already love your sofa, a bold armchair or accent table should do the trick. This trend is interesting because “statement” doesn’t have to mean colour. Colour, texture and shine can all add that wow factor that your space might be missing.
Living in a texture wonderland
It’s officially the season for layering (our wardrobe and our home) and layering with different textures is an easy way of making a space feel more cozy and inviting. From our faux fur throws and cable knit toss pillows, to upholstery fabrics with a soft touch and luxurious weave, there is no shortage of new products in our stores this season that will add texture and warmth to your home. The best advice I can give is to not forget about any surface of your home. From your walls to your floors to even your tabletop… Consider all options that add visual interest with texture.
