Setting The Table For Easter

With Easter weekend around the corner, many of you will be hosting guests. We’ve got some quick tips on setting a table to honour the season (and the unofficial start of spring!).

1. Mix and match patterns. Easter is an opportunity to have some fun with your table setting. Mixing patterns is an easy and modern way to add some whimsical elegancy to your tabletop. See our new collection of patterned dinnerware for inspiration – it’s open stock too, so you can mix and match to your heart’s content! Also, adding pattern with placemats or napkins creates even more interest – the Madrid Placemat in aqua feels fresh and contemporary.

2. Bring the outdoors in – Spring is in the air at Easter time and people are craving a feel of the outdoors. Including some fresh (or faux) foliage to your table will make everything feel like springtime. Or, get crafty and make some moss-like chargers – we found the material for these at our local craft store.

Colourful palette – This is your chance to go crazy with colour. Easter has its own signature palette – pastel blues, purples, yellows and greens, or another less traditional approach is to have fun with jewel tones! An easy way to bring that to your setting is with painted eggs – this is such a fun project. Click here for a great tutorial on some less conventional painted eggs. Using textiles and dinnerware of the colourful variety will create that fun springy feeling.
