When writing my post this week, I couldn’t help but think of an old episode of Good Eats, where Alton Brown railed against those one-trick gadgets in your kitchen that eat up your precious kitchen space. Well Alton, hope I’m doing you proud, since this time around I decided to take a look at our dining shelves and think of some other rooms these accessories could travel to!
Pass that Glass
Some of our stemmed glassware have a lovely flat bottom which supports tealights like a charm – a small cluster of these on a surface make a cute and simple arrangement in a snap! The elevated lights will also look really pretty in a dim room.
While this one’s not too hard to think of, it’s just too pretty to not highlight – any of our pitchers are a wonderful stand-in for a vase. My favourite? The rustic Timber pitcher in a light grey is perfect for your spring blooms.
Reuse, Reuse, Recycle
Another favourite dining collection of mine that has hit the stores lately is the Authentic collection. Made of recycled glass in Spain, this is the perfect touch if you’re a fan of the mason jar look in the kitchen, or any other room in the house! I think it would be perfect in the washroom for cotton balls or anything else you want to keep handy. And, how cute would the Wine Glass be for planting small bunches of lavender?
And one last tip for all of you – everything here is dishwasher safe, so once you’re ready to return it to the kitchen, just throw (well, gently place) it in the dishwasher and it can go back on the table.
